I have three trained Field English Cocker Spaniels for guiding. They are close working flushing dogs. You usually have time to set up when hunting behind pointers. Flushers are a little more challenging for the serious sportsman. You have to watch the dogs work and be ready to shoot when they flush out the birds. This provides numerous excuses if you are a challenged shooter like me! The comradely and enjoyment of the hunt is also greater. Don't worry about missing as the dogs usually flush more than you had set out to harvest.

I use local hunting game farms where I have a membership or they allow open hunting. If you prefer hunting at another game farm or private/public land, additional gas & time may be negotiated depending on the location. Normal hunts are one half day, 3 hours. All day hunts are available with a break for lunch and I will rotate dogs for the hunt. Call for guiding fees and tip.

These are purebred, trained, field English Cocker Spaniels. I also breed them and sell pups. The puppies are sold all over the country to other guides, breeders, and the hunter who wants a high quality hunting / house dog. They are worth in excess of $5000 each. Remember the hunter is responsible for their actions with a weapon.

Four hunters is the maximum number of hunters / hunt for the safety of the hunters and dogs. It is strongly recommended to wear a Blaze Orange hat, coat or hunting vest. We do not want good friends shot. The hunter is responsible for their actions with a weapon. All birds shot at must be flying. No ground swatting is allowed. All attempted shots must be above the horizon or over 6 feet off the ground. My dogs will jump up after a bird 5-6 foot high. Anyone calling "no shot, or don't shoot, etc." will be obeyed by all. The Guide has the right to stop a hunt immediately for safety reasons.

I have a clay pigeon thrower available if you would like to have a short refresher before the hunt. This will help cut down the misses on the pheasants. Please let me know before the hunt to bring the equipment and set up an earlier starting time.
